I am passionate about creating earth-friendly sterling silver jewellery. I try to reduce my waste as much as possible, using recycled silver, and then repurposing my leftover silver into rings, pendants and embellishments for my designs. Sea glass is also a very sustainable aspect. More can be found out about my sustainability here.

I began to teach myself silversmithing in 2021 and absolutely loved it, I can't describe how much it means to me when people love my jewellery. I kept practicing until May 2022, when I rebranded my previous crystal shop to 'Lilac Lakes', to sell my jewellery. At this time I created with crystals and sea glass, but began to focus solely on sea glass when I started to realise how much more I loved it! It also meant I had an excuse to go sea glass hunting more often!

I caught the bug for sea glass hunting! I love travelling to my local sea glass beach in Dorset to spend the day collecting pieces. I've made trips up to Seaham which is a fairly famous beach for sea glass, and plan to take lots more trips to other beaches in the UK. I also began to offer custom sea glass jewellery, using sea glass sent to me by the customer. This was very daunting at first but has quickly become a favourite of mine!

My love for sea glass and the ocean soon turned into trying to incorporate the ocean into my designs more prominently. At my part-time retail job I loved to doodle different jewellery design ideas while I was on the till. This was when I came up with the idea to use a manta ray with a sea glass centrepiece. From there, the designs spiralled to include whale sharks, reef sharks, hammerheads, turtles and much more. And you guys loved it :).

I can't thank you enough for everyone's support for my journey so far. I was always hopeful but never expected that my business could become what it is today and I am so grateful.
