These handmade earrings feature a lovely piece of Emerald Valley Turquoise, mined in Arizona, USA. Below them hangs a manta ray adorned with a sun in the centre. 
 
 
Manta rays are beautiful and intelligent fish, living in tropical and subtropical oceans around the world. Similar to leopards, manta rays have unique spots on the underside of their bodies which can be used to identify them. Manta rays have no stinger and are completely harmless to humans, although they do have a wingspan of up to 7 feet! They are one of my absolute favourite sea creatures, just exuding calm and peace.
 
Turquoise is porous, meaning it can absorb chemicals such as lotions, creams, and perfumes, which may cause its color to change. I recommend removing your Turquoise jewellery before applying anything that could be absorbed by the stone. Avoid wearing Turquoise in water, keep it away from extreme heat and be sure not to strike it against hard surfaces.
