This handmade ring is made with recycled sterling silver and Australian Opal doublet.
 
It features a hand sawn whale shark adorned with Australian opal doublet, wrapped on a hammered sterling silver band. An opal doublet is a slice of opal, backed into ironstone for strength.

The patterns on a whale shark really remind me of the night sky. I added the stars and dots to highlight and appreciate this beautiful similarity.
