This handmade ring is made with recycled sterling silver and Blue Bird Turquoise, mined in Arizona, USA.
 
It features a hand sawn whale shark adorned with turquoise, wrapped on a hammered sterling silver band.

Turquoise is porous, meaning it can absorb chemicals such as lotions, creams, and perfumes, which may cause its color to change. I recommend removing your Turquoise jewellery before applying anything that could be absorbed by the stone. Avoid wearing Turquoise in water, keep it away from extreme heat and be sure not to strike it against hard surfaces.
 
The patterns on a whale shark really remind me of the night sky. I added the stars and dots to highlight and appreciate this beautiful similarity.
