This handmade pendant is in the shape of a whale shark, adorned with a lovely piece of Blue Bird Turquoise, mined in Arizona, USA.
 
The patterns on a whale shark remind me of the night sky, which is reflected in the stars and dots I used to create this necklace.

Turquoise is porous, meaning it can absorb chemicals such as lotions, creams, and perfumes, which may cause its color to change. I recommend removing your Turquoise jewellery before applying anything that could be absorbed by the stone. Avoid wearing Turquoise in water, keep it away from extreme heat and be sure not to strike it against hard surfaces.
